GOP Overrides Welfare Drug Testing Veto From N.C. Governor (Video)

The GOP,and a few Democrats, in the N.C. state legislature passed a law requiring that people applying for TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) be drug tested to qualify. Surprisingly, Governor Pat McCrory (R) vetoed the bill, possibly because in instances where it has been implemented before it has costs more money than expected and found very few applicants were guilty of drug use. Republicans in the statehouse voted to override McCrory’s veto on Wednesday. John Iadarola with The Young Turks has more.
