“It is officially past midnight. Marriage is now equal in New Jersey!”, said Booker, to the delighted audience.
Friday, the New Jersey Supreme Court upheld a ruling that would officially recognize marriage equality on Monday. Sunday, Governor Chris Christie ordered Attorney General John Hoffman to drop the appeal to the ruling.
