Last weekend in Florida, two teenage girls were arrested and charged with aggravated stalking after bullying Rebecca Sedwick, who committed suicide last month. Sedwick was bullied both physically and online.
One of the girls admitted online that she bullied Sedwick and didn’t care that she died.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said, “We decided that we can’t leave her out there. Who else is she going to torment, who else is she going to harass?”
Both girls were released into the custody of their parents, with court dates on the stalking charges still pending.
After receiving tips from multiple sources, Sheriff Judd obtained a Facebook video showing Vivien Lee Vosburg, the mother of the other girl who bullied Sedwick, punching a boy repeatedly during an altercation between 2 juveniles. There were 4 other kids observing the altercation.
Judd stated that in Vosburg’s family, ‘the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree‘.
At first she said, “I accidentally hit him,” and then she said, “The two boys were seriously fighting, and then, well, I was having a bad day”. Later she added, “Well I did go too far that day. It got out of hand”
Vosburg was arrested and charged with 2 counts of child abuse w/bodily harm and 4 counts of child neglect. She is currently being held at Polk County Jail without bond.
