Friday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released November’s job report, showing unemployment has dropped to 7.0%, making it a 5 year low and the lowest since President Barack Obama took office.
The US also added 203,000 non farm payroll employment jobs in the month, exceeding previous expectations of 180,000. Employment increased in transportation and warehousing, health care, and manufacturing.
Although we aren’t where we would like to be, these numbers show we are headed in the right direction.
Also, as soon as these numbers were released, the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged nearly 200 points.
