Thursday night, Comedy Central host Jon Stewart didn’t hold back when he laid a hilarious verbal smack down on FOX News’ Stuart Varney for blowing off the concerns of income inequality and capitalistic greed from low wage workers and even Pope Francis in the name of big business.
Stewart tells Varney that he shouldn’t dare tell the Pope how to do his job.
You’re going up against the Pope? You’re going up against the Pope on how to help the poor? Helping the poor’s in this man’s wheelhouse. This pope helps the poor. But you’re telling him how to do his job? The Pope doesn’t come over to where you work and slap Jamie Dimon’s d**k out of your mouth.
Stewart also went after CNBC’s Larry Kudlow for saying “charity is a gospel value, that puts free market capitalism on the right side of the Lord.”
Exactly — free-market capitalism on the right side of the Lord. Who says you can’t serve both God and money? Who would say such a thing?
I guess Kudlow missed that verse.
After looking at the graphic, Stewart used one of the popular buzzwords conservatives like to use to write off their opponent’s talking point.
That’s not fair. Look at the beard. Guy’s clearly a Marxist.
Towards the end of the clip, Stewart said there’s one thing he agrees with them on…..somewhat.
We both actually agree that some people are being paid too much money to shovel unappetizing, unhealthy s**t to the American public. We just disagree on who those people are and where they work.
He was obviously referring to FOX News and CNBC.
