A Top Republican Aide Is Being Investigated For Inappropriate Films Of Children (Video)

Jesse Ryan Loskarn, Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander’s chief of staff, had his Washington D.C. home raided by federal agents on Wednesday morning over allegations of having inappropriate films featuring children. In the early afternoon, he was handcuffed and driven away in an unmarked car.

Priscilla Carver, a neighbor of Loskarn, said seven agents arrived around 7:00 AM, banging on Loskarn’s door and yelling. Police tape was put up, but later removed. After 1 PM, agents started leaving the scene with several bags of evidence and a computer. According to a Senate source, law enforcement officials also went to Alexander’s Senate office to seek access to Loskarn’s work computer.

Alexander immediately put Loskarn on administrative leave and released this statement.

I was just informed by the United States Senate legal counsel’s office that law enforcement agents are conducting a search of the personal residence of Ryan Loskarn, the chief of staff of my Washington, D.C., office regarding allegations involving child pornography. I am stunned, surprised and disappointed by what I have learned.

Based on this information, I immediately placed Mr. Loskarn on administrative leave without pay. The office is fully cooperating with the investigation.

Loskarn has been working on Capitol Hill with the Republican Party since the year 2000.
