John Kasich hilariously trolls Republican presidential rival Donald Trump.
Republican presidential hopeful John Kasich trolled Donald Trump on Saturday, releasing a spoof press release announcing that Trump had selected Russian President Vladimir Putin as his running mate.
The press release began in typical Trump style:
In a bold and visionary move characteristic of everything he does, today terrific billionaire Donald Trump named Russian President Vladimir Putin as his running mate in the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. Trump pledged that together with Putin he would “Make Tyranny Great Again.”
The statement continued, explaining that “Trump said he picked Putin to be his vice president for his strong approach to dealing with dissident, flexible approach to democracy, rule of law and the Constitution, and his willingness to regularly violate other countries [sic] territorial integrity in blatant violation of international law if it suited his aims.”
To lend an air of authenticity – and hilarity – to the announcement, the press released continued using authentic quotes from Trump and Putin from a back-and-forth serious of public compliments from last week:
Putin readily accepted Trump’s offer to serve on his ticket, saying: “He’s a really brilliant and talented person, without a doubt… he’s the absolute leader in the presidential race.“
The statements also “unveiled a new website for the dictatorial duo: Trump-Putin2016.com, as well as the Twitter feed @TrumpPutin,” that were actually set up by the Kasich campaign as part of the spoof. [I did receive warning from my anti-virus software regarding the website, but accessed it without any trouble.]
The press release concluded in typical Trump fashion, noting that “Concerns that a Putin vice presidency is, well, illegal are just sour grapes from dummies not smart enough to think of it first.”

Although short and simple, the spoof website offers a few gems, such as real quotes by Putin and Trump next to a photo of each.
“‘He is a bright and talented person without any doubt,’ adding that Trump is “‘n outstanding and talented personality,'” accompanied a photo of Putin.
“It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond,” is next to a photo of Trump.
The website also includes the following notice:
Don’t mind the constitutional problems of our
candidacy. This campaign will be terrific! Huge!
A merger of two great powers!
Note: If member of media, sign up at your own risk.
Note: By signing up you are waiving all constitutional rights, civil liberties, notion of privacy and
subjecting yourself to a steady stream of hugely outrageous comments.
Last but not least, the website is accompanied by a video that Kasich also posted to his own Facebook page as well:
